Cozy, But not quite secure
First off, I love these boots. They're great quality and very warm, like all Emu products I've run into. However, the open side that you tie closed allows for your feet to slide around a bit more and pushes your jeans up and out of the boot. These are great for fall but once there's snow on the ground, I probably won't be wearing them as much because I'm sure snow would get into the side as well.
As far as size goes, I bought true to size and they're about a half a size large but I'm a size 5 so I just wear socks and they're fine.

Fabulous little boots
I recently purchased these in black then chocolate. I wear a 10 and purchased the black in a 10. They fit perfectly but I could quickly see that they would stretch a bit so I ordered the chocolate in a 9. They were so snug I could hardly get them on the first time but they are already stretching out to be very comfortable. I have worn these with and without socks and they are super comfy and warm either way. I have a high arch and have trouble wearing anything without good arch support and right away I noticed the nice bump at the arch when I slipped them on. I don't know what some of the other reviewers are talking about when saying they have no arch support because I find the complete opposite to be true. I bought some suede/nubuck water repellent spray for them and so far it's been working great. Let's face it, when the weather is cold enough here for boots like these there is surely to be lots of snow on the ground so if I couldn't wear them in the snow that would defeat the purpose of having them. It's too soon to tell how they will hold up for the entire winter but so far so good and I am very pleased with my purchases.
 
Adorable and Comfortable
I bought these mini boots because I really wanted something cozy and fashionable for winter, I got the pink ones and I just love them.

I have a high arch, and my feet often get sore in most shoes, but these little boots kept my feet super comfortable, even after being on my feet all day in them. The wool inside is very plushy, and I use the phrase "walking on sheep" to describe how nice they feel.

The pink color is perfect in my opinion, the wool on the inside is dyed a darker pink, which looks quite nice.

How will these hold up outside? Well, the sheepskin on the outside is very soft and very fine. Given the light color of the pink, I really didn't want to get them dirty, so I bought some "rain and stain guard" (Payless shoesource) and sprayed them with it. The texture of the sheepskin was not affected at all, and it even seemed to take away a little spot of grease!! I have walked downtown in these without them getting dirty, except for a bit on the backside. However, keep these precious mini booties out of mud/snow and other nasty things. The bottoms are well made, and the back bottom part is made out of a sturdier material, but the sheepskin exterior does seem delicate.

Sizing: I am a hair over an 8.5, so I went with a size 8 because I guess these tend to run large. The eights do fit, but my big toe does hit the end of the shoe. I always have trouble with my foot size though, and I think if I were to have bought a 9 I would have wished I went with the 8.
Overall I love these boots and am looking into purchasing more of EMU's products. =)
 
Finally, my feet are comfortable.
My office is so cold I get frost on the inside of my window. I wear two pairs of wool socks and my feet still get cold. I have been wearing these boots for a week and my feet are so much happier. Unlike a few other brands, the sole is sturdy and non-slippery. The sheepskin is heavier and more plush than the Minnetonka brand. The price was better than either Minnetonka or Uggs. I bought these for indoor use only. I would recommend waterproofing them for the outdoors. If my feet stay warm enough through the whole winter, I will give these boots a fifth star.

super cute and comfortable!

I absolutely adore these boots. They're very comfortable, and having the open sides means I can adjust the boot to whatever pants I'm wearing (plus, I have naturally large calves, that don't usually fit into other boots). No, these aren't "snow" boots, but they hold up just fine in areas that have been shoveled/plowed. The only caveat is that there is nothing holding the ribbons up, so they can get loose and fall with wear. Sort of annoying, but nothing really too bad.

Very soft and comfortable!

I just received my boots today. First of all, what a great deal! I ordered mine in pink. Second, I was glad that I didn't size down as it was mentioned previously. I am 7 in boots and I got 7 in these. So far as new they fit perfectly (no extra room in the foot area but also no rubbing), I haven't worn them outside yet. The quality of the boot is very good, hope they'll last! I love the color, it's fun!

The only Emu boot style you should buy!
I love these- the quality of these boots are superb. I have a few pairs of Uggs and Emus- they are all my favorite (depending on the day), but I absolutely love these boots. I have them in black, and didn't find the dye transfer on my feet an issue.
I am a size 8.5, and find the 8 fitting just right. There is a bit of arch and heel support that Ugg Classics lack.
If choosing between these and the Emu Bronte Hi, forget the Brontes and buy these instead. You definitely pay for the quality and it is worth it! I buy my 4 year old the Brontes, and splurge on the good ones for myself!
Very comfy, practical, sexy, and chic! I love my boots!

Emu Stinger Hi WAY Better than Bronte Hi
These shoes are AMAZING, I treat them like they're my first born child. I am going to apologize in advance for my long review, I just want to answer some of the questions that I had when I was ordering them.

1st: These are authentic EMU Stinger boots. Contrary to what another reviewer said they do have a removable insole. I think it just depends on who you are ordering them from. I ordered them directly from Amazon. Free shipping baby!

2nd: Order them in your correct size, if you wear a half size normally, order a size down. This will give you some room to grow as the shoes will stretch to fit your foot.

3rd: The Chocolate is an absolutely glorious color for them.

4th: They are very, very warm. I know the ad suggests the can be worn on a warm day, but I would not suggest it. They are definitely for colder weather.

5th: The EMU Stinger Hi are in a completely different class than the EMU Bronte Hi boots. I got a pair of the Brontes for Christmas that were purchased at a department store. I was not exactly pleased with the quality of the BRONTE shoe. The wool on the inside was very rough and itchy. The shoes were made of leather and looked cheap and worn out. The BRONTES kind of looked like a pair of suede shoes that had gotten wet. However the Stinger Hi were much, much nicer. They were made of genuine sheep skin and the fur on the inside was sooo soft and luxurious. The inside of the Brontes looked like uncombed hair, but the inside of the Stingers matched the color of the boot and was trimmed to fit nicely in the boot without being noticeable. Again, the insole of the Stinger was removable, the Bronte did not have a removable insole.

6th: I understand that some people may be tempted to purchase the Brontes because they seem more economical. But that would not benefit you in the long run. I was very fortunate to purchase a pair of the Stingers off of Amazon for about $70. This was the same price that the Brontes I received for Christmas were at a department store. I told my gift givers to return these sub-par shoes and I ordered the much nicer STINGERS from Amazon. Well worth the 2 week wait to get them after Christmas. So if you don't see a price that you like on Amazon, wait it out, they may go on more of a sale after a couple weeks. Worst case scenario take a couple weeks to save up the extra difference and just get the STINGERS. You will be happy with your choice.

7th: These are much better looking than UGGS. They don't make you look like your feet are boats. The back of them dip in a little on the heel to give you a snug fit. They also have nice arch support which UGGS do not have. You don't feel like you're walking around in house slippers when you wear them. At full price they cost $40 less than a similar style of UGG and they are much nicer shoes. Definitely makes me feel like a bank robber since I got mine for less than half the price of a pair of UGGS.

HOORAY FOR EMU STINGER HI BOOTS. They ROCK!

I just bought these boots and they are on my feet right now as Im writing this review. I thought they were so amazing as far as quality and the comfort is also super. I also have worn Uggs which are really good, but I am surprised to find that I like these better as far as comfort. A great BUY!!!!!

I love my Stingers!!
After much trying of various varieties of Sheepskin boot, I have come to the conclusion that EMU Stingers are the best, most hard wearing, most comfortable and stylish of the lot.

True to size, they offer excellent value for money and durability.

Indeed, my 'old' pair (from 2 years ago - still going strong) came a cropper last weekend in the storms and mud, and I decided to try washing them. I popped them into a wool wash, and after stuffing with newspaper and drying in the airing cupboard they are good as new.

Colours fab, easy to roll up and down. Highly recommend.

Great Quality and look good
I am not a lover of 'Ugg' type boots but purchased these for my daughter. I have to say I am not disappointed. The quality is absolutely superb and I am told, they keep your toes warm and toasty even on the coldest wettest days. I was delighted with these.

Very cozy boot
These boots are very warm and super comfortable. I love them because they are a great alternative to the basic and kind of boring Ugg boot. These have a little bit more style to them while you stay warm. The only thing is they come up really tall on me because I am short (5"3) but they still look good. They also take some time getting on and off but overall I am happy with the purchase.

Oh, and I found sizing to be fairly accurate. I wear a 7.5 (sometimes a bit smaller or larger depending on brand) and got these in an 8 and they fit well. But other Emu boot's sizes seem to be really confusing and off so I agree it can be tricky ordering the correct size. The fit of the shaft was not a problem either for skinny calf people because of the lace ups.

these boots arrived in 2 days eventhough i didn't order the super fast shipping. yeah!
alas...i opened the box to find that one of the bottom grommets was detached from the boot. shoe mania was super nice & efficient about the return and i would have just exchanged them, but there were no more in my size.
i have read some of the other reviews that suggest sizing down. do not size down! these boots fit perfectly in the size ordered in bare feet. if you want to wear socks wih shearling boots like these, you may want to go a size larger. these are not the boots to wear for tromping in the snow due to the suede & limited tread, but they do look nice & will keep you toasty warm in cold weather.
